Caught on cam: Tornado rolls through Sampson County

A tornado rolled through Samspon County on Wednesday afternoon, and it was caught on camera.
The tornado touched down near 1436 Bland School Road in Harrells, which is southwest of Wallace, according to the county.
The National Weather Service confirmed the tornado touched down around 2 p.m.
A spokesperson from Sampson County released the following statement:
A possible tornado has occurred at 1436 Bland School Road. Emergency Services staff are on the scene assessing the situation. At this time, we do not have any reports of injuries. We will update the media once more information becomes available. National Weather Service staff will determine if the incident qualifies as a tornado.

More tornado warnings will be possible in the coming days as Tropical Storm Debby gets closer to North Carolina. Tornado warnings were issued Wednesday for Pender, New Hanover and Sampson counties.
